Never ending story.
Toilet rolls !
Why are these idiots still buying and stockpiling ?

Our local supermarkets still have no toilet rolls.
...and it's spread to tissues and liquid hand wash.
The spaghetti and pasta is now almost depleted, rice is gone and canned baked beans are on the short list too.

Why ?

On a positive note, my coffee beans, chips and chocolate are plentiful !
Shhhhhh .......

Just to add horror to the bewilderment... those toilet roll hoarders vote!

Anyone still convinced that the world wouldn't go Mad Max in a heartbeat when their lifestyles and expectations are shaken??

RE: Never ending story.
Yep, same here, I'm down to 4 rolls.
But for me that's at least 3 weeks supply.
Hoping to pick some up next week.

RE: Never ending story.
I've been amazed at how many rolls some people get through! The carer said she has to have a spare handy at all times at her place and sometimes they get through 2 a day! if the kids and grandkids are visiting.
Radio callers have admitted that even though they live alone one barely lasts them a week!

I'm about your speed with 'em Max, probably less, about 2 weeks each I think but I've never kept track.
I don't have to change them all that often though.

What the hell are they doing with it? ... don't answer that. But seriously, how much do we need to use??

They were having a bit of fun at the Radio station last week. They ran out of it. The staff were bringing in rolls from home as there was none in any of the shops around the station. Finally one was sent out hunting for some and he had to hit half a dozen supermarkets before he hooked a pack. Then he said he was so embarrassed that he found himself explaining to the checkout chick and those in the queue that "it's not for me, it's for work."

RE: Never ending story.
Chris goes through toilet paper. Worked out that he pulls the roll and when it stops spinning he breaks it off at that point. Need to get a dispenser that restricts how much he can take at a time. Where do I find something like that.

RE: Never ending story.
I've been in (2star) motels that had a kind of ratchet stopper on the spool. It would only let out about 2 squares at a time then you'd have to let it go limp till it reset and pull another 2. cheap buggers, but it worked to save paper.

No idea if they're still around.

Try phoning around the hardware shops??
