Onya Max, a compost heap is a pretty good example of how things really operate.

Dookie, we are only dreamin' if we believe there's more to life than what is evident.

But true that the universe only exists for each of us for as long as we have a brain to register what we see.

It's just that the brain, asleep or awake, doesn't 'create' the universe, it just processes what we experience. No mystery involved.
