Oklahoma
Quote:Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater made the decisions himself on the charges in a get-tough approach meant to deter others from going too far during protests in the future.

"This is not Seattle," Prater said Friday. "We're not putting up with this lawlessness here."

Some OKC protesters charged with terrorism, rioting, assault

Someone needs to pull a rein on the idiocy, if it's not already too late.

RE: Oklahoma
It is too late, from the top level all the way down to street level.

It’s amazing how somehow this fundamental human rights issue has become about statues.
The statues, and I cannot emphasise this enough, do not care. Jon Kudelka

An opinion article on the pathetic mayor of NYC by Pulitzer Prize-winner, Michael Goodwin:

De Blasio’s performance grows worse by the day, making NYC unlivable

Quote:The New York that survived 9/11 and bounced back stronger than ever is now being brought to its knees. The coronavirus, the economic shutdowns and the frequent street protests, mixed with pillaging and vandalism, are no ordinary hurdles, but they are surmountable — with courageous leadership.

Tragically, that’s exactly what New York doesn’t have. The crises pile up like dead leaves, but leadership is nowhere to be found.

Without it, the city is fast becoming unlivable. The slow exodus of recent years has quickened in recent months, with natives, long-timers and recent arrivals clogging the exits. They’re going to the suburbs, to Florida — anywhere but here.

RE: Oklahoma
Maybe that accounts for the rising toll in Florida?? Noo Yockers carrying the plague down there?

My carer has a sister and niece living in NYC and they're discussing retiring to Florida.
I told her "tell 'em to wait, it'll be a buyers' market there in a few months when the wealthy old Condo tenants die off".

There is now a small group of passionate people (Antifa, elements of BLM, and hangers on) working hard to destroy America from within.

No. One's a swamp, the other a sewer.
